The Bronze Venus

Venus is a daughter of my late
WGC Danney's Golden
Perfection (Cocoa).  She's a
full sister to The Bronze Vixen
and a half sister to Mescalero
Gold.  Venus is one of the
prettiest fillies Cocoa gave me
and is also one of the most
natural foxtrotting horses I have
ever ridden.  Her dam is my
retired mare Brig's First Lady
and she has everything I like
from both sire and dam.
Venus has had ground work
and will be started under
saddle this summer.  She's
always been so easy going
that she gets put on the back
burner for training.
Venus carries another little
secret that I didn't know until
last year.  Evidently her sire
Cocoa had the Frame spotting
gene.  When some of his
offspring started showing
with some odd colors
I decided to test.  Sure enough,
she has the Frame spotting gene
as well. Talk about an
unknown bonus!
When I do decide to breed her
she will likely throw some
really wild patterns.
Meanwhile she will just be one
of my favorite daughters of
Cocoa.  Venus has the same old
style agility that her sire did
and we'll start to put that to use on cattle as her training progresses.
